Obvious BoxeeHacks consideration is obvious, but apparently there's better things out there that I could be using - does anyone have any recommendations as to what I should use? It'd be cool to install whatever I want onto it (imagine using that nugget as a PC), but since that'll probably never happen, I'm mainly planning to use it as a media client. Now then, once I get past the setup, I need to install some form of mods to get this thing operating. EDIT: We got it! Thank you again, seriously aaaaaa I doubt that DNS server u/nicholasserra was running is still up, but if so, let me know and I'll get you the IP.if I can find it, that is. I found a mirror for 1.5, got it installed, and now I'm trying to get past the setup. Update: v 1.6.0 fixed the Flick to navigate News sections. Welp, ya live ya learn I guess.Īnyways, I looked into how to fix it, coming across multiple guides and repositories. Then I strongly recommend you install the Calendar.io patch that fits your devices webOS. Thinking I'd just scored something fun, I picked it up, and.yeah, learned that formatting it was a huge mistake. Hey! So I was at a Goodwill today, and I came across a D-Link BoxeeBox for $9. It can stutter a bit at the beginning of playback, but usually stabilizes after a while. Plex runs fairly decent on the BoxeeBox and is able to play most 1080p content I have, unless it's HEVC. Since I'm using the boxeebox-xbmc tree for creating the build environment, I packaged a new release for it as well: I also updated to openssl-1.1.1m, the latest version which still receives updates, and updated the CA cert bundle. Still some improvements can be made to reach the same level of video playback of KODI. I was able to improve the video playback a fair bit by disabling some of plex background jobs during playback. A2 box for a serial root console so I didn't have to reconnect telnet every time I reboot ^ 1 year later and I finally decided to put some more effort into this project: OpenPHT on the BoxeeBox.
