It can definitely save the day in a 1v1 vs a big scary, but enemy density increases with difficulty and you're as likely as not to block a hit from a softy like a Dart or a Slinger, while the Gorelord or Chosen bashes your brains in. I'd never carry this over to legacy.Īt lower difficulty with low enemy density it was helpful, but at Tragic-Hero and beyond it's unreliable. Two extra speed on a kill for your party isn't a bad thing but are you investing skill points in that, especially with poor potency scaling? The upgrade is situational. If it's the latter, this is trash tier IMO. I'm unsure if the damage is calculated off of max armor or current (after you've been sheared). I suppose your best use of this would be with a heavily ranged/cc based party to keep enemies away, and you can knock enemies into fire or guardian attacks, but it scales with armor which (in my experience) isn't worth stacking past a certain point. Rather than being a comprehensive list, I'm just going to post the ones that I remember and have struggled to find use for: There are, however, some skills that I've really not been able to find any use for or synergy and when I'm forced to choose on of them it feels like it bricks the character in terms of promotion. I've tried quite a few different things so far and some of the skills (or combinations thereof) have been bonkers. Coming up with neat new builds through experimentation has been a lot of fun. I've been playing the heck out of this game and have really enjoyed it.
